This is something a bit different!
Hidden just off a path that runs next to one of the tributaries of Kirklees brook. This cache is not easy to get at but you would be able to keep an eye on e.g. a pushchair left on the path.
The path has been recently improved and is fine for a three wheel type pushchair but is very muddy in places. It is a pretty little walk. There is plenty of wildlife in the area and eagle eyed spotters will find wild raspberries mid summer and plenty of blackberries late summer; with herons, newts and the odd unusual bird possible to find!
The walk can easily be turned into a circular by returning along the old railway line now a cycle way. To get across go along Shepherds Street at the North, to the South cross the bridge in the Kingsbury Close estate (the former site of the Courtolds Mill). If doing this as a circular you can take in a number of caches in the area such as post post, absolutely barking and the frankly enormous Kirklees Valley hotel.

For history buffs you can pass Tower Farm, once the stables for work-horses for Tottington Mill. The cobbled path leading to it is thought to be the place where L.S. Lowry painted the Mill Yard, Tottington in 1921.
For closest parking tuck in on Shepherds Street (please respect the residents parking though) or at the Southern end there is a small car park on Kirklees Street near the fishing lodge; else use the streets around Kingsbury Close. There is also access to "The Lines" from Station Road.
