Algunas Cañadas reúnen condiciones adecuadas para la aparición de lagos pasajeros, en torno a los cuales se congrega la vida.
Se forman en épocas de lluvia y con el deshielo, soliendo desaparecer tras cierto tiempo desecadas por la acción combinada del sol, el viento y la permeabilidad del terreno.
En Canarias se usa el término "mareta" para nombrar una charca temporal y de reducidas dimensiones.

Some cañadas have adequate conditions for the emergence of temporary lakes, around which life brings.
They are formed during periods of rain and the thaw, disappear after some time, dried by the combined action of sun, wind and soil permeability.
In the Canary Islands is used the term "mareta" to appoint a temporary pond, small-scale.
