Join us the weekend of October 9 - 10 -11 at Punderson
Lake State Park for a casual caching get-together. Take the
opportunity to discover the beauty of Geauga County, play a geo
game on Saturday, and seek the local caches throughout the
weekend.
Bring your kayaks and canoes as this is a great lake for paddlin'
round!

Please post here if you will be camping or daytripping on
Saturday. The park allows 2 tents per site or 1 RV with one tent.
Individuals should make their own arrangements for sharing a
site.
Base camp will be site 21/23. There will be dogs at base
camp.
This is Columbus Day weekend so sites are
going fast. You can reserve now. 866-644-6727 but the
last camp site in the park for RVs/trailers was just reserved by
one of us! Tent only sites may still be available.(9/28/09)
This is also the weekend of the annual Punderson Halloween Fall
Fest.
Details
here And the new Frisbee disc golf course has its grand opening
on Saturday.
Saturday's geo activities will have at least 18 loggable event
caches.
SCHEDULE OF ACTIVITIES
- Friday Campsites available after 3 PM. Camp fire at base
camp. LOCAL FIREWOOD ONLY. Don't bring firewood from outside of
Geauga County. It's against the law.
- Saturday Registration for geo game 10 AM to noon at base
camp. A $5 fee charged to cover cost of prizes. You may register as
an individual or as a team.
- Prizes awarded at 4:30 PM.
- Potluck to follow. Bring your own tableware. A camp fire will
be going. Please post your main dish, side dish, or dessert
in a note on this cache page.
- Night caching options at Big Creek Park and Punderson SP.
- 7 PM movie presented by Punderson SP.
- Camp fire at base camp. Bring fixin's for pie irons and
s'mores!
- Sunday Ceck out of camp site by 1 PM.
