Geocache Description:

Not much room in the cache - you may need to bring your own pencil. You don’t need to go into the building to find the cache.

In the winter of 2009 the citizens of Terrace sought after, and WON, the coveted Kraft Hockeyville Cup. Above and beyond the honour of being named Hockeyville for 2009 and the grand prize of $100,000, was the opportunity to host a genuine NHL exhibition game September 14, 2009 between the Vancouver Canucks and the New York Islanders. Other highlights included a visit by Don Cherry and THE Stanley Cup. Tickets for the game were highly coveted and this lovely heritage building was centre stage for all things Hockeyville.
Interesting fact: this building was originally built as a home for George Little - the founder of Terrace, on the 4600 block of Lakelse, where the Inn of the West hotel is located. It was then moved to the "South Side" on Hall Street and used as a care facility. This site along the railway tracks is the third location for this lovely building, and its third distinct use.
