The cache is located close to the beginning of a public footpath from Formby towards Hightown, from here you can also stroll towards the beach picking up other caches in the area.
You could do this one as a cache and dash- but its better as a walk! If you need to park nearby please park in Andrew's Lane or Barton Heys Road rather than driving up the lane that begins the path , and then its just a few hundred yards.
