This cache promotes active living and environmentally friendly
geocaching. Pemberton is a vibrant, growing area 20 minutes north
of Whistler on Highway 99. Many activities are available including
snowmobiling, horseback riding, skiing, golfing, hiking, rafting,
jet boating and gliding.
In addition, the Pemberton district provides access to four
Provincial parks. There are excellent facilities for spending a few
hours or camping at Birkenhead Lake, Garibaldi, Joffre Lakes and
Nairn Falls parks.
When staying in Whistler or Pemberton please consider using BC
Transit between and within the two communities. Regular service is
easily available and discount fares for frequent users are
encouraged. Taking the bus will emit less carbon into the
atmosphere than if you had driven.
In these caches, you'll find some Project Blue Sky geocoins for
the first finders. Please only take one... if you have one from
another cache, please leave them for other people. There are also
some other pins and swag from BC Parks, BCGA and Project Blue
Sky.
