Our first simple cache. An easy find near a minor arterial road leading up to Capilano College. Handy near to a couple of bus stops.
This is a simple “cache and dash” with a good place to stop for a few minutes.
Years ago when I was a working cab driver, not every evening or day was a busy one.
On the quiet days and nights, when there was no work coming off the regular taxi stands, it was common to find a nice, quiet place with easy access to main roads to read your book, or take a nap or to just chill out. Then wait for a call on the radio in that nice quiet spot.
This location fills the bill nicely, a bit of shade, a fair bit of sunny open sky, quiet neighbourhood, and easy access to the highway.
Now, I no longer work for a Taxi Company, but still like to find these nice quiet, easily accessible spots.
If you are lucky and aware, you might be drawn to a large nearby object with a Travel Bug attached that you can log. It is about a stone's throw away.
Try not to take it with you, but you are welcome to approach it and log the TB.
First to Find Stickcollector and Cowboy with about 55 finds at the time.
UPDATE: Federal Election Day October 19, 2015
The existing container has been replaced and will be moved elsewhere.
The new container is a pill bottle about 8 inches x 3 inches.
It contains a few small items for the first new people to find it.
Please help yourself to ONE.
The contents are
1. a 1941 George VI 3d. Three penny piece
2. a 1936 George V 1/4d Farthing
3. a 1938 George VI 1/4d Farthing
