This cache was placed in memorial to a great woman, a great geocacher and a great friend. Her name is Sandi Carter and she lived in Basin, WY with her life partner and husband Bob. My wife Peggy and I met the two of them several years ago at an event and, as with most who met her, she had a profound impact on our lives, all of it good. Sandi was the kind of person who seemed to never be in a bad mood, who always had uplifting words for you and who it was easy to feel at ease around and who made life fun. Sandy passed away recently and we have had an empty spot in our hearts ever since. She was too young to be taken from us but we don't control those things, we believe she must have been needed more elsewhere so we just feel blessed for those times we had with her. If you knew Sandi, you know how we feel. If you didn't know Sandi, it is a shame because she was very, very special.

This cache was created with Sandi in mind because I tried to make this a little 'trickier' than our normal cache placements. I have never seen a cache like it so hopefully it will elude you at least long enough to be challenging. Sandi loved a challenge, especially with caching. She and Bob had the ability to hide some tricky caches and I'm sure she took great joy in reading a log where the cache challenged the person looking. I apologize to Sandi for the container, it is not reflective of Sandi or her personality at all but it is what I came up in my attempt to place a cache that is 'hidden right before your eyes'. We placed this cache in an area that is very pretty, serene, scenic yet easy to get to and where you can relax as you are looking for it. It is accessible all year long. Please do not park on the roadway, there is a turnout nearby where you can get your vehicle off the roadway safely. I hope you enjoy this cache but please give a thought to Sandi and all she contributed not only to geocaching but to those of us lucky enough to call her friend. She will be missed!
