Civilian Conservation Corp of Lake Arthur, that is what this
sign is about. It was formed for men of the area during the Great
Depression. The CCC at the Lake Arthur Camp improved grazing lands
and developed water sources for livestock and wildlife during the
1930's.
Same old stop for a historical marker. Thing is that everytime
we stop to drop a cache we learn something new ourselves, and we've
lived and worked here in this part of New Mexico for over 30 years.
Read the sign for the rest of the story.
The cache is an easy P&G (what else) with a log and FTF
prize. BYOP. Possibly a few crawlies and webs so watch where you
put your hands. As always we're glad you stopped by.
