Please be respectful to the environment surrounding this
cache. Please replace exactly as hidden to protect against
vandals. The cache is located in the Esta Miller Memorial
Cemetery. If you have a high clearance vehicle, you should be able
to drive close to the cache. If not, park at the entrance and it is
only a short walk (less than .10 mi.).
The cache container is a small, Lock & Lock type container. It
contains a log book, a pencil and assorted trade items. The cache
is large enough for small to medium sized travel bugs. The
difficulty is a 2 with a terrain of 1.5. The cemetery is located
just off Rt. 34 in Putnam County, WV. You can park in the turn-off
along side the road if you have a low-clearance vehicle. Otherwise
you can pull onto the dirt road that circles the cemetery. Be
careful when approaching the cemetery as the turn-off is between
two sharp bends in the road, and the locals travel much too fast on
this stretch of road. Also use caution when pulling back out. Make
sure that you walk to the top of the mound. This appears to be the
site of an old watch tower or something. It was late summer when we
placed the cache and the trees kept us from seeing the river
valley, but I would guess that this location provides a great view
in the winter and spring. Don't go exploring in the woods around
this cemetery. There are some steep cliffs and drops in the area.
