A short cache just inside woods. The paths are fairly easy until near the end when the terrain could be quite hard for some. This is a large cache that could develop into a Travel Bug Hotel.
This cache is the second joint endeavour between Zeldarians and Minni Mann and it is part of the Zeldarian themed cache series based on Epona the horse. (She does exist you know!). Hopefully this cache will last longer than the Minni Adventure cache that got muggled every other day! The best parking coordinates are N 51 26.042 W 002 31.156 but it can also be easily accessed from Epona’s song by following local footpaths and entering the woods at N51 26.016 W 002 30.829. From the parking coordinates you can do all three Epona Caches – Wolf Tackles on Hyrule Field (Where’s Epona?), Epona’s Song and Epona’s Minni Spring but it would be quite a long walk in total. If the final cache site is affected by the tree cover then follow the telephone lines and use the clue! We recommend the use of wellies as sometimes this ‘spring’ can be more lively than other times, especially after rain. I have never seen much flowing water in this area but some care should be taken if caching after some very high rain or heavy melting snow. Also the terrain can be difficult and may require a little scramble around to be successful. You are now looking for a large painted plastic container - we recently upgraded the size so that it can hold more items and maybe develop a easy large drop off for Travel bugs - even Rubber Ronnie would go in this one - if you ever picked up Rubber Ronnie you would know what we mean!!. It is at the edge of quite extensive woods that run alongside the river Avon – home of a number of the Longwell Green Mystery Cache series. There have been many logs saying the coordinates are out and yet hardly anyone has failed to find the site but for those where this might be helpful the coordinates that could be closer are: N 51° 26.014 W 002° 30.886 Permission for the cache was given by South Gloucestershire Council.
