This trail is maintained for the use of cross-country skiers in the winter, so it is pretty flat with little elevation gain, making it one of the easiest summer hikes you'll find up here at 10K feet elevation. You'll be hiking among many aspens and conifers. The whole trail (loop) is only about 2.5 miles long but there are many loops and cross-overs for the skiers, so you'll need to pay attention to stay on the main trail. This cache is placed near what is considered the end of the trail if you hike it counter-clockwise, but you can also get to the cache with a very quick and short hike by doing the trail clockwise. To do the trail as intended (counter-clockwise), start from the right of the informational sign; to get to this cache more quickly, start at the "end" of the trail to the left of the sign. Cache is off the trail about 20-30 feet or so. Parking is at N35 47.346 W105 48.528.
