henly Regatta
A gentle multicache on the River Medway between Allinton lock and
Maidstone, but only accessible with a canoe or kayak. Its rated as
a 5/5 due to terrain etc let me know if you feel differently.
Parking is available in the road outside The Malta Inn, and
you can launch at the Allington belle's landing stage but keep
clear when the Boat is using it, You can also launch at the new
Environmental Agency superb new site at on the other side of the
river and if you are a BCU member they will only charge you £2.50
for a days parking, access from Allington on the Maidstone
side of the river down Castle Road.
The stages are a mixed bunch some magnetic some purpose made but
nearly all micros or nanos, the containers within container do not
need to be opened you can read the coords through the container so
keeping the integrity intact.
This is a highly muggle friendly area so please be surreptitious
when seeking as some are in plane view of the bank (and fishermen),
please be curtious to the fisherfolk as there is enough animosity
between canoeist and fishermen already.
Please bear in mind the environment and please make sure the
containers are done up tight and replaced securely.

Theres plenty to enjoy in Chatham and Rochester and Maidstone so
why not make a day of it.
