Note (2-5-12): After the great ice storm of Jan, 2012 it's rough going in spots due to downed branches and trail wash. Watch your step! Not too far from the Maple Valley quarry, but outside it, and safe. You still have to worry about steepness here, though. Accessible from the pipeline trail. Also accessible from the Cedar River trail - if you know where to exit!
The family and I love to run and walk on the pipeline trail. We decided this end of the trail needed a good cache, so we placed one! This is just off a great, challenging cut-through path between the pipeline and Cedar River trails. This is our first cache, so please go easy on us! Be careful if taking smaller children with you. We don't recommend doing this at night. You're looking for a small, square rubbermaid container. It's got some trade items, and a TB for starters. FTF gets a $5 Starbuck's keychain card. Enjoy! 8-30-10: Based on the last couple of logs, I double- and triple-checked my coords today. They appear to be good, as my GPSr (9 sats, +/- 9') led me to within 2' of GZ. I also re-averaged, just to be sure. I'm guessing it's all the overhead cover this time of year that's making things crazy. Happy hunting!
