Geocache Description:

Öxi waterfall cache

This is a cache next to the mountain pass road Öxi (939) -

The Axarvegur (939) is a well maintained mountain pass, sometimes with steep slopes (17%). The nature of this mountain pass is very beautiful, with hundreds of little waterfalls. With taking this completly graveled road (19 km) you can save some time instead of taking the ring road (60 km).

The cache is placed close to a nice waterfall, which you can easily arrive by parking your car next to the road.

While our trip through Iceland we did a lot of caching and we really enjoyed that. So we wanted to give a nice cache back to the gc-community. So we want to stress here that this is a holiday cache. One time a year I will look for the cache. If any other problems occur the local cacher Islandia Geomatics will help me with the cache maintenance. Many thanks to him!

Looking forward to see some nice pictures of you with the cache!

Find this treasure... :-)

The river with the waterfall to the left...surprise!
