There is a monument of "chieko-sho" near lodge managed by a local government "sunrise kujyuukuri".
In 1934,the paintress Chieko Takamura is underwent medical treatment in mental disease here.
chieko is wife of poet"Koutaro Takamura", and,"plover and playing Chieko" in Chieko-sho of Koutarou Takamura are ticked away by a monument.
Chieko Takamura left the world on October 5, 1938.

国民宿舎「サンライズ九十九里」の近くに「智恵子抄」の石碑があります。
ここは１９３４年、詩人・高村光太郎の妻で女流画家の高村智恵子が精神病を療養した場所であり、石碑には高村光太郎の「智恵子抄」の中の「千鳥と遊ぶ智恵子」が刻まれています。
高村智恵子は１９３８年１０月５日、この世を去りました。
