digger9: Well, I think it's time to let the grill burn out on this one. We want to thank everyone who was able to make it to the event, I believe we had a total of 63 people in attendance. We hope you all enjoyed your day in Marengo. Hopefully next year we will have a little more room in the "big room". Wait, did I say next year?!?! YES!!! We already talked with the folks at Gateway, and we are planning on Oct 30th 2010. Mrs. Digger9 and I have already been talking about new ideas, and some improvements to this years event. We will have shirts again, and maybe a few other surprises. So mark your calendars, and hopefully you can make it to Digger9's 2nd Annual Halloween Weenie Roast!!!!!!

Let's get together for a weenie roast at the Gateway Nature Preserve in Marengo, Iowa. Gateway is located on the North edge of Marengo, along the Iowa River.

We are moving the party to an INDOOR facility!!! We will be at the Gateway Nature Preserve's Building. The building is heated, but does not have a bathroom. We have however rented a "Portapotty", so you'll have to go outside, but you won't have to leave.

We will provide Hot Dogs, Buns, Chili, condiments, Plates, and forks.
Please bring a side dish or dessert to share, your own beverage, and a chair if you wish.
Please post in your "will Attend" log what you will bring, and how many will be coming in your group.
Rough Schedule:
10:00am - Gather and gab
11:00am - Eat
11:45am - SMORES
12:15pm - Game "What's in your cachebag"
12:30pm - Door prize drawings
12:45pm - New Cache lists handed out.
I plan on putting out a few new caches for you to find, and still be home in time for Trick-or-Treat.

We have had some people ask about hotels
Closest is Sudbury Court www.sudburymotelandrv.com
There are also hotels by Tanger Mall on I-80
If you want to stay at Sudbury court, book early as the 31st is the first day of pheasant season, and they will fill up fast.
We are going to have T-Shirts. Our son has come up with a design, see the pic in the gallery. cost would be $10. We need to know by OCT 11, so we can get the order in. We will have a few extra 1X and 2X available at the event.
Bring your cache bag as we will play a game for a few prizes with them.
We have had some people ask about costumes. They are optional. We will be dressing as Mr. and Mrs. Digger9.
