The cache is located at the Casey Softball Hall of Fame Museum. Why would Casey have a softball museum? Here are some reasons why:

The Casey Truckers, men's fast pitch team have been inducted into the Illinois Softball Hall of Fame as an entire team.

The Casey Truckers played in 11 state and national tournaments winning 7 national championships.

Casey hosted the National Invitational Tournament 4 years, with 22 to 25 teams attending each year.

The Casey Westfield High School girls team have won 7 state titles.

The Casey Westfield Jr. High School girls team have won 7 state titles.

The Casey Bombers participated in two state and national championships, winning 1 title.

The Casey Stingers women's team won the state and national championship in 1980.

104 area men, women and high school girls are in the Casey Hall of Honor. Ten local area people are in the Illinois Hall of Fame.

In 1933, Casey was one of the first in the nation, to install a lighting system enableing them to play night games. The first major league team to install lights was Cincinnati in 1934.

If the museum is open please stop in and pay a visit. The local softball association would be pleased if you did.
