Tingva's Cache Nr. 11

 

Beschreibung

Bei N51°07.878 E008°22.431 könnt Ihr parken.

Bei diesem Cache handelt es sich um einen Wander-Multi, der in jedem Fall als Tagestour geplant werden sollte. Der Rundkurs hat eine Gesamtlänge von rund 22km, und es sind etwa 650 Höhenmeter zu bewältigen. Wer sich für diesen Cache interessiert, mag vielleicht auch mal einen Blick auf "Der Weg Ist Das Ziel - Home Edition" (GC28YYE) werfen.

Im großen und ganzen orientiert sich diese Runde am Rothaarsteig, der in einem Rundkurs von Schanze, bergab nach Latrop, von dort hinauf zur Millionenbank, dann an Kühhude vorbei zurück nach Schanze verläuft. Wir haben für diese Wanderung inklusive der Suche nach ein paar Caches die am Wegrand liegen und einigen Pausen 8.5 Stunden benötigt - reine Gehzeit rund 6 Stunden. Das jüngste Drittel Tingva (3.5 Jahre alt) lief davon ca. 8km selbst und wurde den Rest des Weges auf den Schultern getragen. Wer also leichter bepackt ist, schafft's ggf. auch in kürzerer Zeit :)

Die Stations-Koordinaten werden aufgrund des recht dichten Waldes zuweilen etwas ungenau sein. Dennoch dürfte man sie problemlos finden können. Es muß nichts gesucht sondern nur Zahlen abgelesen bzw. Werte durch Zählen ermittelt werden.

Weil bei diesem Cache, wie der Name schon sagt, der Weg das Ziel ist, stellen wir Euch die gesamte Runde inklusive Waypoints optional als GPS-Track zur Verfügung, was die Planung des Ausflugs vereinfachen dürfte.

Description

At N51°07.878 E008°22.431 you may park your car.

This cache is a hiking-multi, which - in any case - should be planned as a day trip. The roundtrip has an overall distance of about 22km (13.5mi) and there are ca. 650m (2130ft) in altitude to be overcome. Those of you, who are interested in this cache, may also want to take a look at "Der Weg Ist Das Ziel - Home Edition" (GC28YYE).

Most of the time this route follows the Rothaarsteig, which runs from Schanze, downhill to Latrop, from there uphill to the Millionenbank, then past Kühhude back to Schanze. Including the search for a couple of caches which lie along the way and a few breaks, this hike took us 8.5 hours - true time in motion about 6 hours. The youngest third of Tingva (3.5 years old) walked 8km (5mi) by herself and was carried on the shoulders for the remaining distance. If you are packed a bit lighter, you might be able to make the trip in less time :)

Because of the partially quite thick forest, the stages' coordinates will be a bit inaccurate. Nevertheless, there shouldn't be a problem to identify them. Nothing has to be searched. You just have to find numbers or get values by counting something.

Since with this cache, as the title points out, the journey is the reward, we optionally offer you the whole route including waypoints as GPS-tracks, which might make planning the trip a bit easier.
