Plank Walk Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Geobun: Vandalized again. As much as I have enjoyed this location, the muggle factor is too much to keep up with maintenance. Thank you for visiting and also to those who added my cache to your Favorites list.

Geocache Description:

In the Palo Alto Baylands Preserve, behind the Lucy Evans Interpretive Center you'll find a unique board plank pathway. It carries you an eighth of a mile out over the marshes and pickleweed, and past the power lines for a view of the baylands and bayland wildlife that is unparalleled.

The Palo Alto and surrounding baylands are considered to be one of the best bird watching areas on the west coast. Here you will find a huge resident population of water birds, plus an array of migratory birds on this major stopover along the Pacific Flyway. Bring your binoculars, camera, and a pen. Preserve is open from 8:00 am until sunset.

Note: I don't know how long the container or attachment mechanism will last out there in the elements, so if you notice it needing attention, please let me know.
