Geocache Description:

Small cache hidden amongst relatively flat terrain devastated by a tornado in 2006. The damage remains visible to a careful eye. The cache is placed with permission at, but not within, the actual gravesite area of a cemetery.

Although unusual for this area, on November 15, 2006 a significant F3 tornado came right across the edge of this peaceful and somewhat remote cemetery leaving a path of devastation still visible today, then as it moved on eastward killed a nearby resident. After locating the cache, take a little time to visit the markers that serve to provide a memory to those no longer with us . . . including relatives of those who placed this geocache.

The cache initially contains a set of instant railroad capsules, a CSX Operation Lifesaver shoe polisher, 2 pencil erasers, an angel pin and for someone who has never visited the Elk and Bison Prairie at nearby Land Between The Lakes an entry gate pass token.
