Nikrmana: Unfortunately the owner is not responding and the cache is disabled for very long time. There is no option to maintain the cache and no option to enable it as user is not active, thus I am archiving it. I'm also archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements.

If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

PORAT

liegt westlich von Dubašnica, Malinska gegenüber. Ein ruhiger kleiner Ort mit verschlafenen Fischerhafen. Die Siedlung wurde rund um das Franziskanerkloster aus dem Jahr 1480, erbaut. Das Kloster wurde, wie auch viele andere der sakralen Bauten auf der Insel Krk, im Auftrag der Fürsten Frankopan errichtet. Hier befindet sich auch die Kirche der Heiligen Maria Magdalena, die auch der Familie Frankopan gehörte. Neben der Kirche wurde auch das Kloster des Glagoliten- Tertiarierordens gebaut. Heute befindet sich im Kloster ein KIRCHENMUSEUM, in dem aber auch Gebrauchsgegenstände aus der Gegend ausgestellt wurden.

PORAT

is located on the westernmost point of Dubašnica, opposite Malinska. It developed around the Franciscan monastery built in 1480, which was sponsored by the Frankopan family, like many other church buildings on the island of Krk. Here is also the Frankopan church of Sv. Marija Magdalena, next to which the monastery of Glagolitic Tertiaries was built. Nowdays it houses a MUSEUM WITH A SACRAL COLLECTION AND WITH VARIOUS UTENSILS FROM THE EVERY-DAY LIFE of this region. Museum
