Nant Gwrtheyrn #1 Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Southerntrekker: Hi There

As the owner has not responded to either my log or my colleague's previous log requesting that they check this cache I am archiving it.

Please note that once the cache has been archived, this can not be undone. This is explained in the Help Center - http://support.groundspeak.com//index.php?pg=kb.page&id=70

You will need to create a new listing, put it back in for review and as long as it meets today's guidelines and no other caches have been published in the area causing a proximity problem, then it will be published.

Regards

Geocache Description:

The cache is located along the beautiful isolated bay of Nant Gwrtheyrn, or Porth y Nant. There is a steep road down to the bay which cannot be guaranteed to be open for cars. This can however be walked and there are other walking routes down, all fairly strenuous. If people are making the effort to get to this cache I thought there should be two as a reward. The walk between the two is along the stony beach.

Nant Gwrtheyrn is a picturesque quarry village on the Llyn Peninsula with two rows of houses, a "plas" (a mansion), a chapel, a café and an old "co-op" which today has been transformed into an information centre. The Eifl mountain stands proud behind the village and in front of it the sea stretches out towards Angelsey. The village has been the home of the National Language Centre since 1978, but Nant Gwrtheyrn's history goes back at least two thousand years.

You are looking for a small clip lock Tupperware container with a few starting swaps, near the quarry village and some of the original quarry buildings. There is no immediate danger at the cache site but there are dangers not far away so please be careful and observe any nearby warning signs.
