Part of an easy 2 part ATV cache series , this is a tribute to our forefathers and all our ancesters past placed on Labor Day weekend to celebrate freedom, hard work, and perseverance. Bring your climbing shoes!
Yes this is another ATV cache and will require a 30 to 40 mile round trip depending on where you start. Have you ever wanted to climb a mountain, well here is a mountain the whole family can climb and enjoy famously. Well the sheep family's enjoy it. Follow their boot marks up the trail after parking below. This trail system and area is historically rich in mining history with much game and flora to appreciate. The views along this system are outstanding. Bring supplies for a picnic as there are many firepits already in place in various hunting camps but don't forget to pack water both to drink and to douse your fire. See the photos attached for orientation to the other cache. The other cache is in plain view a mile off across the valley. Consider the topography on this one.
***Please do not try to ride beyond the trail limits as drops are very deceiving and shoulders soft. Besides, we all deserve a well preserved state wilderness, it is a privilege so TITO please.***
***Larger vehicles may run into road jams as the trail narrows substantially on the way up and slopes dangerously at some areas. Be very careful if bringing small tots on this one though, there are many areas they could get injured while running off.***
***Remember a spade, axe, and pail are required when wilderness riding.***
