This was once a peaceful Cheshire country road until the arrival of the M6,the longest and busiest motorway.The M6 is also sometimes referred to as the "Backbone of Britain" as it forms part of the central road corridor between London and Glasgow. It is 226.7miles long it runs from Catthorpe to Gretna.It was constructed between 1958 and 2008
