Geocache Description:


| Il Naviglio Pavese Nasce dalla Darsena (porta Ticinese),lungo 33 km. collega Milano con Pavia.E' fornito di 14 conche di cui solo 2hanno un salto entro i 2 metri, mentre le restanti variano da 3 a 5 metri.
Il primo progetto nel 1359 con Galeazzo Visconti, nel 1805 cominciano grazie a Napoleone gli scavi per la "conca fallata" chiamata cosi' perche' incompiuta.
I lavori per la costruzione per collegare Pavia-Milano furono fra i più tormentati dell'ingegneria idraulica lombarda. L'idea di collegare il bacino del Po con i laghi attraverso un canale, che permettesse a Milano e Pavia di controllare i traffici su questa direttrice, risale al periodo dei Visconti. Iniziativa che riprese sotto il dominio degli Spagnoli, verso la metà del 1500.
Le opere di scavo furono intraprese a cura di un governatore spagnolo: Enriquez Acevedo a partire dal 1601, su progetto di Meda. Nel punto d'incontro con il Lambro meridionale furono interrotti i lavori, per tale motivo venne chiamata "conca fallata". Oggi,sul fianco ovest del Naviglio, nei pressi della cache, si può vedere, ad un livello più basso,il tunnel del Lambro che incrocia il Naviglio, passandoci sotto.

PER TROVARE LA CACHE, parcheggiate alle coordinate del listing, la Conca si trova pochi metri ad ovest,trovate ora i seguenti indizi:
1)Vicino al semaforo c'è una targa posta ad onore di un patriota. i numeri che compongono il numero della brigata del patriota sono XYZ, sommate X+Y+Z, questa somma è A.
2) Traversate ora il Naviglio e guardate fra i due pali della luce N° 120 e 121, c'è un numero civico, questo numero è B.
Le coordinate finali sono:
N 45° 25.543+AA
E 09° 10.244- (B:4)

Forse per arrivare al punto finale c'è un po' troppa (??) strada,spero che vi divertiate lo stesso......

The Naviglio Pavese starts from the “darsena” (porta Ticinese), 33km of length, connecting Milan and Pavia, having 14 “conche” of which only 2 have a step within 2 meters, while the others vary from 3 to 5 meters. The first project was in 1359 with Galeazzo Visconti, only in 1805 starts the excavation, thanks to Napoleon, of the “conca fallata” so called because unfinished. The works for connecting Pavia and Milan were among the most tormented ones of the Lombard hydraulic engineering. The idea of connecting the river Po with the northern lakes with a channel,which would have allowed Milan and Pavia to control the whole traffic,begins to the Visconti period. This initiative begins again under the Spanish domination, around the second half of 1500, thanks to the governor Enriquez Acevedo starting 1601 under a project of the architect Meda. When crossing the river Lambro Meridionale, the excavations were interrupted again, for this reason this place was called Conca “fallata”(broken) .Today,on the west side of Naviglio, you can see, at a lower level,the tunnel of Lambro crossing the Naviglio.
To find the cache, park at the title coordinates, the "conca" is few meters away West.
To find the final coordinates you should find the following clues:
1) Stop at the traffic light, there you will find a plate placed in honor of a patriot. The brigade (brigata) of this patriot has a number (XYZ), the sum X+Y+Z = A
2) Cross the Naviglio,between the light poles Nr 120 and 121 there is a street number, this number is B
The final coord are:
