This cache was placed during the 2009 campaign to place caches in beautiful British Columbia's Provincial Parks. The caches have been approved by the BCGA and the Provincial Park Authorities. Dry Gulch Provincial Park is located between Invermere and Radium.
Park Info: This cozy campground park is a quiet and shady retreat from a sunny and vibrant tourism area. Located on the east side of the Rocky Mountain Trench under the peaks of the Stanford Range of the Rockies, Dry Gulch Park is 4.5 km south of the town of Radium Hot Springs off Highway 93/95. It is a perfect resting place for travellers.
This cache promotes active living and environmentally friendly geocaching. Please share your story about how you got to the cache, especially if it was using an environmentally friendly means of transportation. This cache is hidden in a BC Park. At the hub of numerous recreational activities offered in the Upper Columbia Valley, Dry Gulch Provincial Park is a great base camp for golfing, swimming, windsurfing, boating, hiking, bird watching, visiting hot springs and shopping in the towns of Invermere and Radium Hot Springs.This Park is only 29 hectares making it one of the smallest Provincial Parks.
In this cache, you'll find a log and some ProjectBlueSky geocoins for the first finders. Please only take one... if you have one from another cache, please leave them for other people. There are also some other pins and swag from BC Parks, BCGA and Project Blue Sky.
