How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

After thirty years and one month we have sold our boat, and this cache is one of three traditional caches which celebrate thirty glorious years (and one month) of boating, the others in the series being Finished with Jigsaws and Finished with Wetsuits.

We used to test engine mountings with little trips to here, back in the very early days of being only 30ft long and therefore able to turn in just the canal width in most places.
The cache is (X an ammo tin X not any longer!) a lock-lid box whose contents (to begin with at least) are entirely from the boat and we are launching a new TB, confusingly also called Finished with Engines, which too is ex-boat.
Parking is as near to either bridge as you can get, unless you are travelling by boat. The box is in a bag to camouflage the shape a bit, but please be careful to conceal it well.
