Old graveyard in Colenso
Found this place a while ago while looking round the little old town. What was upsetting was that it was totally overgrown and all I could see at that time were the tops of some head stones. I was happy to see a few weeks later that the grass had been cut. On closer inspection though I realised to my horror that this had been done with a tractor and grass cutter. Whoever did it had no worries about what was in the way. Many of the headstones were flattened by the tractor and if you take a closer look you can see the marks where the blades have hit. This was so disturbing to have seen. Fortunately some of the older graves are surrounded by wrought iron fences or trees.
