This small cache, a peanut butter jar, is hid by one of the 8 or so campsites at Bluey Recreation Site, and contains the usual logbook, stashnote, and stash.
Located on the north end of Bluey Lake, the recreation site is popular for fishing, camping, swimming, and boating activities. The site is situated in a Douglas fir forest and the lake is absolutely gorgeous -- a clear turquoise blue!
Located south of Kentucky-Alleyne Provincial Park, turn right off of Bates Road just before you reach the Provincial Park at N49 54.216 W120 34.366. It's about a 4.5km drive on a gravel road from this turnoff. We were expecting a much rougher road as the Backcountry Road Mapbook suggests having a 4x4. We saw a couple of 2-wheel vehicles pull in (van etc.) while we were there, but we wouldn't recommend bringing in a trailer though as there are a few steep and rough sections. (camper would be fine).
