How Geocaching Works
Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer
Alphabet Challenge S is a straight replacement for the muggled GC1287J if you have done that cache there is no need to do this one for the series but you are quite welcome to visit and log it.
This is a klip lock box hidden near Spurrells Cross on Dartmmor where the monks route from Buckfast Abbey to Plympton Priory meets the Wrangaton to Erme Pound track.
The Alphabet Challenge consists of 25 caches plus the final (Z).
There are 5 individual series consisting of 4 consonants giving information for the vowel in each group.
The order of caches to find,
A needs B,C,D,F
E needs G,H,J,K
I needs L,M,N,P
O needs Q,R,S,T
U needs V,W,X,Y
Z needs A,E,I,O,U
The GPS signal at the cache site should not present a problem.
You will need to take a pencil/pen for the log.
I suggest parking at Harford Moor Gate 50°25.220'N, 3°54.657'W but be aware there is a 7 foot width restriction on Harford Bridge (approx 50°25.203'N, 3°55.248'W).
