Don't Crosse Me Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Obilon: After giving this some more thought, it not being certain when or if this "area" will be repaired, it seems best to let this "decader" (more than 10 years old) go. mvb001 did a lot for this local caching community over the years, with limited resources and range, but he found some interesting places to hide, often where others would never have thought.
Perhaps by opening up one more place in the UF Campus area, it will encourage "newer" GCers to place something for the college crowd to find "in their spare time".
Thank you to all who came.

Geocache Description:

This cache is located at the number one lacrosse facility in the Nation.
(It should be after UF spent 15 million to build it)

Lacrosse is the oldest sport in North America. It originated with
Native American Religion and was often played to resolve conflicts, heal the sick, and develop strong, virile men.

Ironically, lacrosse also served as a preparation for war. Legend tells of as many as 1,000 players per side, from the same or different tribes, who took turns engaging in a violent contest.

Contestants played on a field from one to 15 miles in length, and games sometimes lasted for days. Some tribes used a single pole, tree or rock for a goal, while other tribes had two goalposts through which the ball had to pass. Balls were made out of wood, deerskin, baked clay or stone.

Please use stealth when going after the cache and be wary if someone is in the watch tower.

Please observe campus parking. During the weekdays you must have a permit however after 5pm and on weekends you can park in the adjacent lot.
