Allen's 3rd Traditional Cache

This is a relatively simple cache located on private property. PLEASE NO SPOILERS. Parking is available either at the farmer's drive just west of the cache or along the shoulder.

• Cache is located on the north side of the road

This is the third traditional cache in Allen Township since I have been caching.

The Beddow House

The home on this property was built in 1862 by James and Sarah Beddow. In fact after the home was closed in James Beddow went off to serve in the Union Calvary, so while he was gone, wife Sarah finished the lathing and neighbor plastered it for her. Members of that family lived in that home until shortly after 1972. My parents bought the home in 1982 and it is now our home. We have been fortunate to have met members of that original family and hear the history of our home.
