Geocache Description:


The Sundance Kid Born Harry Alonzo Lungabough in 1867 and supposedly died November 6, 1908 in Bolivia. Sundance was a member of Butch Cassidy’s The Wild Bunch Gang. He was born in Pennsylvania and was named Sundance because his fist stint in jail, which was for horse thieving, was in Sundance, Wyoming. Sundance and Cassidy perfomed the longest string of successful train and bank robberies in American history. He was said to never have killed anyone until the shootout of his death. Sundance was reported to have survived and returned to the US to live a long life under the name of William Harry Long in Utah. There is current DNA testing of this man’s remains to see if he can be identified as Sundance.
