A 3-stage cache that leads through a pleasant woodland area, which can be boggy in parts. Make sure to use suitable footwear for this, and take care over some possibly uneven ground when you need to move off the main paths. Getting a good GPS signal may prove tricky, hence the 2.5 difficulty rating (now downgraded to 1.5 based on so many successful finds).
The above co-ordinates are not for the cache itself but will take you to Waypoint 1: the entrance to a coppice in Whiteley. On road parking is plentiful at this location. The cache will be found with the help of two bits of information you must gather on the way. This is not intended to make the search more difficult, but will encourage you along an interesting route through the coppice. The 3 stages are as follows: 1. Stand at the co-ordinates of Waypoint 1 (N50 53.072 W001 15.844, as above) and scan the kissing gate. Question A: How many rivets are there in the kissing gate holding the diagonal slats in place? Your answer will determine the co-ordinates to Waypoint 2 as follows: 5 rivets = N50 53.085 W001 15.765 6 rivets = N50 53.098 W001 15.675 7 rivets = N50 53.058 W001 15.756 We suggest you begin to follow the path anti-clockwise, though you will need to move off the main track before long. 2. Locate Waypoint 2. You will be led to a pleasant woodland area with an unusual tree formation. This oddity may consist of one or more actual trees, but regardless; answer this question to gain the remaining part of the actual cache location. Question B: How many trunks emanate from the tree cluster at Waypoint 2? 3. Now, locate the cache using the answers to Questions A and B above: N50 53.0(B+A-4)5 W001 15.(A)22
