This cache is located near the soccer field in the southeast
corner of Delaware Park and is one of the lesser visited sections
of the park. You will not be able to drive up to the cache so I
would recommend parking on Rumsey Rd.
This is a small cache and can only hold the logbook and small
trade items or TBs. Original cache contents are:
2 1971 Eisenhower Dollars, 1 1935 Standing Liberty half dollar, 1
1971 Kennedy half dollar, 1 1964-D Roosevelt dime, 1 1943-D steel
penny and 1 1914 Barber dime. There is also 1 geocoin in the
cache.
Please remember that these are trade items, so please trade
properly and BYOP.
This 350 acre park was designed by famed landscape architect
Frederick Law Olmsted and is the centerpiece of the Buffalo Olmsted
Parks system. The park was constructed in 1871.
Make sure to visit the Rose Garden to the west and Hoyt Lake to
the north and west. They are both excellent places to visit. If you
are here in the summer months you can now rent a boat on Hoyt Lake.
I also highly recommend the other caches that can be found in the
park.
This is my first cache hide so any and all comments about this
cache are welcomed!
Happy Caching!
