| Logan Airport needs a Travel Bug Hotel and now it finally has one (again)! I saw there was one for a few months in 2004 (GCKHZF), but I'm not sure there has been another attempt at having one since. So let's hope this hotel will stay open for business longer.
This TB Hotel was originally in Memorial Park, but got muggled twice over less than a year, so I moved it to a new location at the entrance to Bremen Street Park. It is meant to be easy to find to facilitate the trade of travel bugs and geocoins by people traveling from or to Logan Airport. Please leave only these kinds of items. The container is on the small end of regular-sized, so really big TBs may not fit.
Directions: If you are going to the airport by car, take the Callahan Tunnel and take the first right immediately after the tunnel - it's labeled "East Boston Exit". (You can get back on the highway from there after you are done, so it shouldn't add too much time to your drive.) Continue straight on Porter St, then turn left onto an unnamed road where Orleans St goes off to the right. This will take you to a parking area (around N 42 22.320 W 071 1.960).
If you are going by public transportation, take the Blue Line to the Airport stop. There is an entrance to Memorial Park near where the Shuttle buses leave for the airport. It is less than 0.2 mi each way from there.
If you arrived at Logan Airport, you can take the free shuttle bus to the Blue Line subway station (not the Silver Line!) and then walk from there.
Don't attempt to access the cache directly from Porter Street - there is a fence on the bridge. If you are willing to climb over a wall and down a slope, you can access the hiding spot from Orleans St.
I'm not going to set up any complicated TB trading rules, but please leave at least one trackable item in the cache at all times - thanks!
This should be a fairly straightforward hide, but if you are pressed for time, check the hint, which is pretty detailed so that you should have no trouble finding it.
Directions to the airport after finding the cache: As you exit the parking area, go straight onto Orleans St for about 0.2 mi, then turn right onto Maverick St. After 0.1 mi turn soft right onto Meridian St, then after 0.15 mi turn right onto Havre St, which will take you back to Porter St from where you can turn left onto the highway to the airport.
