This is an extension of the series of caches that we have placed in the grounds of Oldbury Court. Recommended parking is N 51° 29.556 W 002° 31.197. Other parking is available off Oldbury Court Road and Snuff Mills car park is at the end of River View.
This is a beautiful and diverse estate, combining woodland and riverside paths with historic parkland and excellent children’s play facilities. Only three miles from Bristol city centre, the estate features large green spaces and picnic areas, and is popular for its varied landscape and panoramic views. A footpath follows the River Frome to Frenchay as part of the Community Forest Path and as part of the Frome Valley walkway which starts near Eastville Park. Much of the path is paved, and is generally suitable for buggies and wheelchairs. Youngster need to be kept under supervision because of the unfenced access to the river. Because this area is so popular you will need to keep a watch out for muggles Tree cover may make precise location of the cache difficult. When setting this cache, the GPSr showed an accuracy of about 25 ft - if anyone can come up with closer co-ords please let us know. You are looking for a small specimen pot- no pencil so bring your own.
