This is an extension of the series of caches that we have placed in the grounds of Oldbury Court. Recommended parking is N 51° 29.556 W 002° 31.197. Other parking is available off Oldbury Court Road and Snuff Mills car park is at the end of River View. Please note there is now a charge for parking in the carpark, free parking is available on the nearby roads
This is a beautiful and diverse estate, combining woodland and riverside paths with historic parkland and excellent children’s play facilities. Only three miles from Bristol city centre, the estate features large green spaces and picnic areas, and is popular for its varied landscape and panoramic views. A footpath follows the River Frome to Frenchay as part of the Community Forest Path and as part of the Frome Valley walkway which starts near Eastville Park. Much of the path is paved, and is generally suitable for buggies and wheelchairs. Youngster need to be kept under supervision because of the unfenced access to the river. The cache is located adjacent to the University of the West of England playing fields, hence the name - wheelchair and buggy accessible. Please ensure you replace the cache as found to avoid the slugs Because this area is so popular you will need to keep a watch out for muggles Tree cover may make precise location of the cache difficult.
