Geocache Description:

The cache is located in the cemetery near the old part. There are really some neat headstones nearby and big cedar tress. Watch out for all the yucky yucca plants. There is a place to park off of the road inside the cemetery.

The cache is a camoflaged peanut jar. Please hide the cache back in the same place you find it - out of sight.
"There are no burials from the Tornado marked. However, there are several unmarked graves. And most of the people killed in the Tornado were buried in New Home.
The unmarked graves have a native red clay stone placed at the head and/or foot. I think someone attempted to inscribe something in a couple of the native rocks, but gave up.
All-in-all the cemetery and its memorials are in very good condition.
No damage due to vandalism can be detected. The lawn is well groomed.
And only a few stones have faded beyond legiblity. The Cemetery is still active with burials ranging from 1906 to 2004. Dominant surnames are DeMoss, Bradshaw, Thomas, Harvey, and Littlefield.

From what I know of the families of the area, most burials come from people living in the Spring Creek Valley. I knew of DeMosses, and some Harveys living on the bluff overlooking a fork in Spring Creek

Congratulations goes out to joytoy1963 for the FTF
