Geocache Description:

"A LOVE WITH OUT END, AMEN"

This is our tribute to George Strait. The most prolific entertainer in country music. In 2004 George and his producers decided to release an album of all his number one hits, at this time totaling 50. They titled the album "50 number ones". The problem is by the time it was completed he had 51, adding "I hate everything" Hitting the top of billboards charts in Oct of that year. MCA decided to tack that on as well, but they put it at the begining. Why??? because that easy. We have corrected that mistake, you will find "I hate everything" in the #51 spot where it belongs. We've also added the 6 other songs he has taken to number 1 since then and will be adding any additional #1s because it doesn't look like he will be letting up anytime soon.

"A LOVE WITHOUT END, AMEN went Strait to the top when it was released in june 1990. I had 3 young daughters by this time and this song was very meaningfull to me.

I got sent home from school one day
With a shiner on my eye
Fighting was against the rules
And it didn't matter why
When dad got home I told the story
Just like I'd rehearsed
And then stood there on my trembling knees
And waited for the worst

(Chorus)
(He said/I said), "Let me tell you a secret
About a father's love
A secret that my daddy said
Was just between us
He said, daddies don't just love their children
Every now and then
It's a love without end, amen
It's a love without end, amen."
