Ever hear of Pulaski before? From American history we learn that Count Casimir Pulaski (1748-1779) was a Polish patriot & American Revolutionary soldier. As a crusader for political liberties,Pulaski gave large amounts of money to the American cause. As a soldier, his greatest military contribution was the awakening of American generals to the necessity of a better cavalry. There are 12 Counties in the U.S. named Pulaski;numerous towns and townships;a bridge in Queens,NY; and an expressway north of Chicago,Il. Edward Pulaski was a direct descendant of Casimir.'Ranger Ed' Pulaski was from Coeur d' Alene,ID.,and became a hero in 1910 during a forest fire that consumed three towns and part of Wallace,ID. He invented a forest fire fighting tool called the Pulaski axe-mattock which is named after him.In the early '30s a lookout tower was named Pulaski Peak, which is south of Wallace,ID Now,as you look for this cache, you'll learn there is a Pulaski Road in Minnesota. Cache was placed with owner's permission. Please respect the surrounding area.
