Geocache Description:

A last place to pull over for a break before arriving at Cuba, NM.
Come visit NMGeocaching.com for news, information and forums.

This is one of those ubiquitous former higway weight and inspection stations that was active when I first moved here back in 1979 and this was a two lane highway designated State Highway 44.

The inspection station is now gone but the area is a large paved pull-out with a little pass-through at the far end so you can walk your dog or access the dirt bike trails. The inspection station was designed for north-bound traffic but now that the highway is four lane access is also available for south-bound traffic.

For some reason the coordinates were bouncing when I placed this one and I only had an accuracy of 25'!
