Geocache Description:

As Ma, Molly and I were riding around this area of Vermont working on the 251 challenge, we hit a little snag on a nearby cache. We are always looking for interesting places in our travels and Ma noted a covered bridge on Kidder Hill Rd. close by. Since that is one of her favorite things to check over we decided to come and have a look see. Turned out to be kinda interesting. You are looking for a Bison tube.

Although there is a sign on Kidder Hill Rd. that says there might be a problem ahead there is no indications the bridge is closed. No barricades, no signs etc. In fact there are fresh tire tracks indicating there is some traveling across it. But it appears that when they repaired it in 1995 that it got much narrower than normal. As a result, the locals have found a way around the bridge that is much more traveled with many, many more tire tracks than the Kidder Hill Rd through the bridge. Yup, you can go around it...if you dare. I will say I don’t think there is a dare big enough to make me want to try it in a Toyota Scion. An A1Abrams tank with winter tracks might be required in January.

You are NOT REQUIRED to drive all the way through the bridge to the other side or drive around it to find the cache. Your feet should be just fine for the search. But if the mood strikes you, go ahead, “you can go around it if you dare.”
