Geocache Description:

A quick park & grab

We've noticed a handful of unusual roadside features of late & have thought to ourselves about what it would take to put caches into some of them. We started with three and have plans for at least one more. If you have suggestions for more, please pass it on!

The cache is in something best described as an "evil turnip". It has a nut at one end that needs to be undone to disassemble it. Inside is a bison tube to hold the log & some room for small trade items. This cache is another of the "grandpa" hides devised by the man behind the first two iterations of purple park & tree fort and we didnt have the heart to deploy this as it was originally intended (it wouldnt have been findable and im pretty sure would have not been permitted, although i've seen two lesser versions of late that seem to be acceptable) and luckily found that it fit this area perfectly.

To answer questions / comments about the container:

-Where'd it come from? My dad (aka the "grandpa") made it from scratch. Believe it or not, it's made from a composite of carbon fiber and kevlar cloth that was formed over a foam plug & then faired to a turnip like shape, engraved & painted up in a decidedly un-camo pattern. If you look hard at the camo end, you'll see the yellow kevlar material. As for the paint job, I have no idea, I was afraid to ask.

-What is it? It's a custom made geocache container!
