[ENG] Sindi Bridge over the river Pärnu was the longest narrow-gauged railway bridge. Diving assistance was needed for the construction of the bridge and the bridge was governed by traffic lights, because the bridge was used both by trains and cars. Unfortunately, the original bridge was destroyed in 1944, the new bridge was built slightly upstream. When you look closely, you can still see the remains of the old bridge.
Since the bridge was recently reconstructed, it seemed as a good place for my Raudteesilla series. By its nature it is somewhat similar to the first and second one, but still contains some new aspects. And again: SAFETY, SAFETY, SAFETY!!! Common sense and cold nerve should be your friends. The bridges construction can paint your clothes, so be warned not to climb there with your last clean clothes. The cache is this time a bit masked. Please restore the masking because it is highly probable that mugglers visit that place.
In immediate vicinity there is a historical medieval Stone Age settlement site, which is known to be the oldest in Estonia.
A couple hundred meters downstream there is a massive dam. Just follow the "Sindi Forellipüük" signs, by the way, Forellipüük - is a pisciculture, you can catch your own fish and let it to be prepared as you like it, while enjoying the view of the dam.
[EST] Sindi sild üle Pärnu jõe oli Eesti pikim kitsarööpmelise raudtee sild. Silla ehitamisel vajati ka tuukrite abi ja liiklust sillal reguleeris valgusfoor, sest silda kasutasid nii rongid kui autod. Kahjuks hävis esialgne sild 1944.a., uus sild ehitati vanast veidi eemale ülesvoolu. Vana silla betoontükke võib tänaseni jões näha.
Uus sild on hiljuti rekonstrueeritud ja lausa karjus minu silmis kolmanda seeriaaarde järgi. Olemuselt peidab endas nii ühte kui teist ja hoopis uudset kolmandat. Ohutus, ohutus, ohutus!!! Aarde vahetus läheduses on Pulli kiviaja asulakoht, mis on praegu Eestis teadaolevalt vanim inimtegevuse jälg. Mõned sajad meetrid allavoolu aga asub Sindi Pais. Oma massiivsuselt tasub kindlasti külastamist (edukalt paisuni jõuab, kui jälgida Sindi Forellipüügi viitasid).
