Geocache Description:

Are you ready for some football??? The start of the 2009-2010 NFL season has arrived and the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears kick off their seasons in another installment of their ongoing, and epic, border battle. It only seemed fitting to commemorate this clash of divisional titans with a geocache.

Fellow geocacher search4menow (Jeff) and I have a friendly wager on whose cache will get the most finds by the Super Bowl. He says his FIB (Fanatical Illinois Bears) fan cache (Border Battle: Chicago Bears) will have more finds. Just as the Green Bay Packers have many more World Championships and Super Bowl titles (12) than the pitiful Chicago Bears (9), I think my Packers cache will have many more finds than Jeff‘s cache!!!

Show your support for your favorite team and visit this cache before the Super Bowl! Friendly jeering and taunting is allowed and encouraged, but keep it clean or you log will be deleted. Additionally, feel free to comment on you most memorable Green Bay Packer moment. Bring some Packer trade items as I have stocked the cache with appropriate Packer swag.

You are looking for a green and gold painted ammo can only 185 feet from the parking area. Convenient parking coords are posted below as an additional waypoint.

*****Search4menow (Jeff) encountered some unforeseen obstacles (disabled car and clearing of his intended hide site) and was delayed in placing his Border Battle cache. He gave his blessing for me to post my cache to coincide with the Packers/Bears game. In typical Bears fashion, I‘m sure my eventual victory will be protested since my cache was published before his cache. I don‘t think I went over the line for placing my cache before Jeff's. After review by the replay officials in the booth, it was determined that I did not cross the line and the call to place my cache before Jeff's cache stands!!!*****
