Lea County Caching Hall of Fame: bighornram Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

IgnotusPeverell: Greetings. I'm IgnotusPeverell, one of the volunteer reviewers for geocaches submitted to Geocaching.com.

I can't find any recent responses from BigScot about maintaining this cache which makes it appear they are either unwilling or unable to maintain this geocache. Cache maintenance includes: replacing broken or missing containers, replacing full or wet logs, updating any changes to the text, updating coordinates, removing the needs maintenance attributes, enabling the listing, and more. Check out all of a geocache owner's responsibilities here. This cache is being archived, and removed from the active cache listings.

"If a geocache is archived by a reviewer or staff for lack of maintenance, it will not be unarchived."

Thanks for your understanding,

How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

A stop and grab near the highway with lots of room to pull off, a trash can, and a history lesson.

This is an idea I have been trying to work out since Week of caching one. The idea is to reward any cacher that I feel have done something to further caching in LEA County. Lea County may no longer be cache poorest part of New Mexico but we still needs many Many more well placed caches. The idea behind this series is to both reward cacher in lea county and increase the cache count at the same time. Hopefully you will enjoy the series.

Cache Area: This is an area where there is a historical marker. The cache is a small bison tube that will take a little looking to find. Lots of room to pull off and get out. Watch out for usual desert dangers. More Muggles then you would think stop by this area every day so please use stealth when necessary.

Honored Cacher: bighornram (the first non Lea County resident to get a LCCHF cache)

Self Bio: N/A
