Geocache Description:

Welcome to the magnificent Breaks Interstate Park! This is a night time event...with camping. We have been granted permission to have our event at the overflow campground. There is a $2 fee for entrance into the park and since we are utilizing the overflow campground, there will be no camping fee. Only tents are allowed in the overflow area. If you choose to bring a camper, you are responsible for getting a campsite for yourself and paying the appropriate fees.

Schedule of events

4:00 (or earlier) - 6:59 pm -- Caching in the park and set up camp
7:00 pm -- Welcome and Supper...make sure you sign the log sheet
7:30 pm -- First round of door prizes
8:00 pm -- Begin night cache, yes, a night cache will be available
10:45 pm -- Second round of door prizes
11:00 pm -- All geocachers not camping should leave at this time, park closes

October 3

There are two major things taking place in the park. There will be a molasses stir off as well as a 5K run.

Breakfast the next morning:
You may opt to eat at the restaurant or partake in doughnuts.

Directions to the park (from the Breaks website): The park is located in northern Dickenson County, where Dickenson/Buchanan County, Va., and Pike County, Ky., converge. From Haysi in northern Dickenson County, take VA 80 eight miles north to the park entrance, on the left. The park is located seven miles east of Elkhorn City, Ky., on KY-VA 80.
