Geocache Description:

This is micro hidden near the Covered Bridge in Philippi

This is a micro hidden in small park near the Covered Bridge in Philippi. The Philippi Covered Bridge is the oldest and longest of the Covered bridges in West Virginia and is the only Covered Bridge still in use on a Federal Highway. The Barbour County Historical Society runs a museum across the street in the old Train Station. You can even see the Philippi Mummies which were featured in a documentary dealing with mummies. If you like you can have a picnic in the park overlooking the Tygart River. There is a small pavilion and a grill to use.
